Lake Catherine 2

I should learn to post the second part first, but I forget.

I highlighted the trail we took in blue. On the way back we got a little off trail and went near Dog Lake. I'm not sure how close my drawing was. I went with Ashley, Whitney, Aleah, Mark, John, & Chris. Mark caught a fish in Lake Catherine. From the rock I was on with the girls it look like a nice size. He carried a fly rod up the trail.

Minding my own business

I was floating home from work on Monday when the sidewalk jumped up and tripped me. I sprained my ankle and skinned my knee. I tried to remember the last time I had a skinned knee. I couldn't remember. I went to the doctor on Tuesday. X-rays were taken to determine that there were no broken bones. My ankle was the size of an ostrich's egg, if not I bet it was close. The nurse took one look at and said we need xrays. Of course, she starts off to xray and then realizes about 5 feet later I have an ankle injury and slows down a bit. I still had to hobble a bit to keep up with her. I feel really stupid when people ask what happen. I say I fell off the sidewalk. Essential that is what happened. Puts a real crimp in your life when you want to do stuff and you can't walk well. I had my legs waxed yesterday. I knew all my muscles connected to my ankle somehow, but I never realized how it would feel. It didn't hurt really, but I kept feeling a pulling on my ankle.

Delicate Arch Part 2

Delicate Arch Part 1

Last weekend we (my ward) went to Moab and this is the trail we climbed. The pictures are in order of the climb. Sometimes I took a shot behind me to show where I'd been.

fountain

They turned the fountain on for graduation. Today was the first day I helped get balloon bouquets ready for the graduation brunch the school sponsers for grads and family. I can't tie balloons. We put together 45 bouquets one gold, one purple, and one white.

smoothies

Tonight I bought a blender I was craving a smoothie and I could've paid, but people from work gave me a giftcard and I decided to put it to good use. I even went across the way and bought fruit to make the smootie. I used oj instead of ice cream, it was a bit strong on the juice for awhile. I just need to get a sno cone machine and it will be perfect.

I am currently living in Sugarhouse. I kept seeing these radish looking statutes and couldn't figure out why. Until, it dawned on me that they were sugarbeets. Bringham Young and a host of others started a sugarbeet factory. Although if I remember correctly it was never used or not for long to turn beets into sugar. I really like the area. It has shopping and you can walk everywhere.

logan temple

Went with a group of students from Westminster to the Logan Temple today. We ate bagels on the temple grounds for lunch.

I learned that in Indonesia, they speak Indonesian. There are mountains every where and valleys. Construction is still alive and well.

No one likes the bookstore. I think that's because no outsider really understands the book business.

hiking

I climbed a mountain yesterday. Okay, we didn't go to the top, but we went pretty far. On the way up I could feel pockets of warm air and on the way down pockets of cool air. It was really pretty. We could see that it was raining on the far west mountain range (one day I'll know what the name of the range is.) We could also see Nevada. I forgot my camera. I barely took time to change out of work clothes. There is a picture that will be posted later if I get a copy. I am not very sore today. I guess that's a good thing.
